Se encuentra ya marchándose hacia su destino Bandomeer cuando una carta preocupante le llega a Qui-Gon (también destinado a ese mismo planeta por motivos del destino... o más bien de Yoda).

Esa carta tiene como remitente un antiguo discípulo de Qui-Gon, un alumno que acabó descarriándose del buen camino para convertirse en un Jedi renegado inmerso en el Lado Oscuro... el ex discípulo es Xanatos.
